Actions in the pandemic- Property use

Considering the growing number of cases during the pandemic and the need to optimise health resources, Papelera del Sur put one of its properties in Tornquist at the service of the Municipality.

In collaborative work with mayor Sergio Bordoni, it was decided to move children’s home Saavedra Lamas to the property we offered. As a result, hospital outpatient departments were relocated at the building where the children’s house was. These actions  as well as the addition of a new property increased the operating capacity of  Dr. Alberto T. Castro Municipal Hospital and improved medical assistance.

Once the pandemic situation had been normalised, the outpatient departments were moved back to the municipal hospital and the children returned to Saavedra Lamas.
